Environment Artist

Job Description:

Do you want to create beautiful art for some of the best selling and most critically acclaimed shooters of all time?

We need an experienced, creative 3D Environment Artist to create highly detailed, realistic environmental game assets.  You'll be working on assets for levels as well as detailing and lighting alongside designers to make each level as beautiful and impactful as possible.

Requirements

  • Show us a portfolio of textures and materials that look real, created using up-to-the minute techniques that capture the essence of the real thing.  We also want to see beautiful, efficient, photoreal 3D models and textures built using Maya or another major 3D package.
  • Show us your portfolio demonstrating traditional art skills, including a strong grasp of color, scale, proportion and lighting.
  • You need to be able to work in a team.  Share advice, inspire others, give and take critiques, pick up the slack where necessary and communicate clearly with a variety of people to achieve the best possible results.
  • You must love games.  You must be able to tell us why you love the games you do.
  • You must be passionate about doing the best work possible.  You must be internally driven to take your work to new heights with everything you do and you must feel a need to work in a team of people who feel the same way.  At Infinity Ward you can be sure that no one will be riding your coat-tails.

Pluses

  • We value well-rounded developers.  If you can do anything else, whether it be voice acting, lighting, programming, MEL scripting, character modeling, photography or inspirational speeches, there are opportunities to use those skills in order to make the best games possible.
  • Industry experience is a major plus, but if your portfolio has work that looks professional and is relevant to what we do, it’s not a requirement.
